Second Season Chinese Chestnuts "Kohr" (Castanea mollissima) Seedling Tree

Kohr is a top-performer from the 2000-tree orchard planted by Clarence Kohr in Pine Grove, PA, in the 1960s. 

Planting Information 

Follow recommendations for chestnut plantings. Hardy at least to zone 5 but most likely able to produce in zone 4. These seeds come from Western NY.   

Fruiting Information 

Nuts are medium to large in size and fall during mid-season. Productivity can be modest or low in some years.

Blight resistant with high potential for commercial applications.
